What are the programming languages in creating a computer game especially for Android/iOS?

Question

I was planning to create a game that is text based involving making decisions; helping the main character in the game to make decisions like if you are familiar with the mobile game, Lifeline.

I am a total beginner in programming, and i would appreciate it if you give me a brief explanation why choose these languages.

I love lifeline :P

So for iOS you use Swift, which is Apple's language made specifically for the iOS SDK.

For Android I believe you can use Java or Kotlin, though I am not 100% sure.
