Which language you guys recommend for android development?

Unless you fully know another language, Java would be your better choice as it has more resources available. I'm doing Kotlin and must translate Java examples to learn Android development as there are a limited number of Kotlin ones available. Having another language would allow you to guess what the Java is doing before writing the Kotlin. While some IDEs will translate Java to Kotlin, they don't pick up on all the underlying Android details so you must make some fixes.
