Why is my exp so low?
Forgive me but I can't wrap my head around this just yet: We can see our skills now and my exp is really low compared to you guys, even vs you non-challengers. I'm talking five times lower. Is there something else to increase XP in a language other than Course XP and challenge XP? Thanks for helping a fellow out!

Glad you are on Sololearn and helping out, Tristan. The points thing is kind of mysterious to me, but your contributions are being noticed and appreciated. Thank you.

@ Tristan got 5/5 finally....but seriously the ability to write and run code on your phone is a really great virtue here....to me thats what its all about....and the coding community is really helpful with tricky concepts...i'm grateful for that...

@WILLIAMS
Thx for your contribution, unfortunately that didn't cut it at all. Perhaps I should rephrase my issue.
It is not about the total exp but the COURSE' exp
For instance: How can a non-challenger have 1000 exp in a single course while I have only like 200 when clearly we've both finished the course.
Which are the factors to increase course exp?
Cheers, guys!

@Boris Batinkov
I am totally with you on this matter, Boris. Sadly, that's a swing and a miss.
OK so let's try one more time to explain my issue.
I checked out this profile on the same level and his course exp had a thousand HTML exp but no challenges. My highest score is python on ~400 exp. I start to think that my submissions to Quiz Factory in python pays off. o.O
Just to clarify: as a curious hungry learner I wish to know why this "is". However when it comes down to it I'm not interested in leveling up at all. I'm happy filling the community- and code -sections.
Cheers!

You might be on to something! Perhaps they changed the scaling of course's exp in line with the latest update where they updated the weapons in challenge mode and displayed the stats in skills. Those with high exp has all started their courses a week ago. I'll let you know if I discover something of essence. :)
Cheers!

I think no. Even if you go through all courses, you can't get above 10K XP.
The easiest, and pretty fast way is to win in challenges to increase the XP of your skill. (It's really easy, when you learn the answers.
Because 20 secs is not enough time to solve every quiz, except you are a genius. Also the quizzes repeats itself often. You will know it, even if you don't want to. That's why the XP system is not so XP (for me). If you see someone with 10K XP to ask a question for 10XP, then you got what I mean.)
The most respectful way (at least for me) is to post more codes and helpful comments.

@Igor Berger
Yeah, I guess. :) Thx, either way, for your investment in this. :)

@Joe Must surely be effective. :)

Its very easy folks, all you have to do to scale the leaderboard with your xp is by taking and completing more courses.
The more courses you get involved with the more your xp increases.
Good luck everyone.

Just guessing: perhaps, there was a bug at some point so that you ended up with low course XP, whereas others completed the course after the bug was fixed. You can try resetting progress and going the course again.

@Tristan
To test my hypothesis, I reset my Python course and finished it again. I lost about 50 XP in the process. :-(

@Tristan
No worries. Science requires sacrifices. :-)
I did take the shortcuts. Perhaps, that lowered my score.

@Boris
You may be right. However, I'd expect course XP to be tracked separately from badges.

@Igor Berger,
maybe there is some badge you unlocked first time by posting questions/answers.
Another interesting thing is that already two days my total XP in the site is with 10 points higher than that in the app.

Why are xp not always added when winning a challenge, but are taken off everytime I loose??
