Why is the Python from this website different to the one i downloaded?

I really like the Python this website has to offer. However, the one from the official website (i assume) is different.
Which one should i stick with? and why?

And yes, you should only download from the official site because most of the other websites have adwares/spywares with the downloads...so the official site is your best bet, it is secure!

Because updating always the distribution would mean that the Python playground would be often unavailable.

I think that the version running here is a Long Time Support (LTS)

So, i went to the official python website and downloaded it. but, apparently you need like second program. For, example notepad.
Im just brand new and i dont know what to download in order to work with Phyton full capacity.
