Obviously HTML5 plays the key role. CSS3 could be optional. There are types of JavaScripts like A FRAME.js,AR.js,ARGON.js etc..........useful for creating and developing virtual reality stuff.

Unreal4 and Unity3D engines can be used for VR development. Unreal4 supports C++, and Unity3D supports C# or JS.

Your system should have minimum 8GB RAM to run the unity.

Value of RAM depends on the complexity of your projects, I tried unity (but without VR) with 4GB RAM and it work fine for me. https://unity3d.com/unity/system-requirements

I've thought of using unity for developing my AUGMENTED REALITY related project using a system of RAM 3GB but later came to know that it runs success fully without any discrepancies in a system of minimum 8GB RAM.
