it is not code editor, it is regex tester.
There are two text areas. Above is for your 'regular expression' string and below is for text sample.
eg. https://regex101.com/r/tCmML2/1

- You can get some sample source code for your regex, by 'code generator' on left in Tools section.
- There you can change version of regex set too, eg. for python
