it depends what kind of app you are building and for what platform. For the command line, you might not need a lot, the basics from this app can help you get started, but for GUI, you need to learn further about the different headers you will need depending on the platform you intend the app to run on...in the case of platforms, you can buy qt which will make it easy for you, but mostly for mobile apps, java is recommended for android and c-objective for ios...this however does not mean that you can't use c++, you just have to be ready to read deeper in order to use it...hope this helps...and remember google is your friend just ask anything
