Forwarded or need to save it as private or get the owner’s permission to save.

Today I saw good codes. It is called css created by Calvin . I was working at that time so I did not change anything or it and just saved it to public for me learning some thing new after work. I think it is totally called “ forward” but after a while there were 2 persons who replied in the comments saying I should not save it to public . I should save it in private. This really bothers and confuses me . And I do not want to meet this problem again. So I want to ask . What is the proper way to save the code created by others? I know when I read some good articles and want to share the good opinions with others . I will forward the article . Does the way of forwarding give the creator trouble? Need some advice Thanks.

If you want to save that code for future reference or learning purpose you can save the code in private mode where only you can able to see, else you can take permission from the original creater of code by commenting on his code and if he agrees then you can include the credit of the code like the name of original author which is came automatacally after saving other codes, the two person said that because its against the guideline to publish someone else work without permissiin and proper credit. and you only want to learn so you can make the code private that's the best option

Just don't make it public. By default, a code is always saved as private for the first time we save it. That should be fine with everyone. I do this quite often to study others' codes.

Emperor Bob She asked a question and mentioned us😂 xiaoning liu if you notice that crown logo beside Gawen's name, you know why I told you there are "sololearn policemen". They will make stolen code private with a warning. And what else? In Q&A section, you as the asker can mark "best answer", so you can mark Gawen's as best
