<complete beginner> Best software to write code with and 'run'

Apologies for the complete noob question. I am half way through the html course and now I am wanting to try my hand at my own blog, just to practice what I have learned. What would be the best software to do this with and will there be an option in said software to 'run' the code to see the results? I am aware of basic notepad. I know this question is very basic and proberly laughable to some but I'm a complete beginner and would appreciate the help :) I am loving learning this new skill and we all got to start somewhere right? Thank you.

So its a web development, there's a lot of choice from komodo, npp, vscode, etc etc You can use search bar to find similiar question there's a lot of people ask the same thing. The answer itself could be subjective and different each people (like myself i prefer vscode).
