Why can’t I see my website on google through search

How do I drive traffic to my website through google searches of keywords? I have done the SEO for my new website through a website builder but when I go to google and search key words I can’t find my business anywhere in the first 3-4 pages...any ideas?

Yeah, but there's a couple of things there: 1) How long did you wait to look up your website since indexing? Search engines promote results with longevity (especially if the content is static or stable). 2) It depends on your key words. If other people are using similar keywords that have stronger SEO than you, their website will show up higher/earlier in the results than your website. If you use a very rare word(s) that no one else is using, then your website will show up higher/earlier in the results list. Remember that some websites invest heavily into their backlinks (often tens of thousands) just to show up first or within the first ten results. These sites will already have longevity well in hand.

Are you using a hosting service that submits your website to search engines for indexing and crawling? If not, have you submitted your website to Google for indexing and crawling? Did you wait for the SEO to kick in? (May take 3-6 months, but mine usually take only 3-4.) My favorite starting point: https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo
