Want to be a software developer

Hello family, I just completed HTML but I want to be a software developer, what next do I have to learn from here?

html is not a programming language. its basicaly an xml format. what you want to achive?

webdesign: html, css, javascript, sql, php or j2ee/jsf.

general programming: c# or java

short tasks/batch style programming:
python bash powershell or whatever

embedded programming: c c++
....

from your perspective, i would suggest you to learn php. its very very beginnerfriendly and is opening the door to understanding more complex stuff later on
