Why people hate linux so much?

I have got so many hates about Linux operating system to use as a primary system. I got no problems using it and Linux is my primary os. So why people get frightened so much?!

People fear what they don't understand. Most people think using linux is complicated and always requires the use of the terminal. This is not always true. You can use linux without touching the terminal (although I encourage them to learn it because it is just so darned powerful :-) ). Thanks to Elementary OS and Linux Mint, using linux can be user-friendly.

By the way, using linux gives you a ton of choices in OS alone. You can use Debian-based, Fedora-based, Arch-based OSes, Slackware, etc. You can freely choose the OS that tickles your fancy.

Linux GUI is not as advanced and easy as for the person coming from Windows(GUI) background . Also many people fail to realize the power of terminal.
