What language do you use to create mods for a game?

Examples: Skyrim, Fallout 4, Minecraft

It different each game, usually it depends on which language the game use but not always.
As for skyrim, they're using papyrus.
I havent tried FO4 but they probably using papyrus too.
Minecraft java edition mod writen in... Um.. Java.
