Yes, JavaScript can be used to add interactivity to your websites, it can be used on the server side to add dynamism to your website and interface with various data persistence mechanisms. JavaScript can also be used to build mobile apps and even program robots! And learning JavaScript is really fun and rewarding!

Web Assembly ... Blazor and .Net Core. I'm waiting patiently for the day that I can stop (mostly) using Javascript. I'm comfortable with JS it's just very annoying that the language changes and comes out with new frameworks every day. At this point I see more devs tolerating it than enjoying it. It's not "good", it's just different and is really the only thing you can use on the client side to do anything. No alternatives other than using bulky frameworks based off of JS.
