Can someone clearly explain to me the difference between HTML and HTML5

Hey there,

as you may know HTML or Hyper Text Markup Langangue is a language to unformly describe the structure of webpages.

HTML5 is, to my humble knowledge, nothing more than a collective term for the usage of HTML+CSS+Javascript, as most modern wepages rely heavly on all three.
