when i open the IDLE python, there is a page called 'python shell'. ive been told not to code on the shell, i need to open a new file because shell is pretty much the place your codes run. however, i cant run anything other than the print command on that new file, and when i get to do so in shell everything works perfectly.

"Hello world"
output: doesnt appear when run

ive tried to look up whether i was doing something wrong and i think i dont. when i type the command on the shell, it works perfectly.
