If you go only for websites the best language is javascript. As by using javascript different frameworks you can create the whole website. Mean to say It is applied on all Frontend Backend As well as database

Javascript. If you want to dive deeper and deeper into web programming, javascript is the beginning. After you achieved the basics, you can learn more about TS (Typscript - this is a superset of javascript) and working with frameworks. For instance Angular, Ionic, etc.. In my opinion Angular(2+) is one of the best choice because this frameworks required HTML, CSS (SCSS, Sass) and Typscript knowledge

You can't go wrong with JavaScript as a start; then it depends what kind of task you want to achieve with programming on the website...

The huge part of the websites now are written on PHP, but JavaScript(ES6+) is newer, easier and comfortable. I like node-react pair. In my opinion JS rules )

You need to learn html first as it is the basic structure of every webpage. Then you could start of with javascript if you wish. Try learning css alongside It helps you to properly design your webpage
