I think it's great for beginning. It teaches you how computer "thinks" and how to use it to solve your problems. My friend is very good in C, he is creating his own OS for fun and using it (+ C++) for game development (low level). So, it's very much relevant and it can be very useful.

The thing with C is that if you learn it or its superset (C++), you will have absolutely no issue learning any other language with ease. So, in my view, you can learn C/C++ and not have to worry about it being a mistake, because it is such a powerful language that delves so deep, that you can apply all that knowledge to other languages and learn them easier than ever!

Reason to learn C are lot. Not only it teach you how computer thinks but at the same time you also learn how to build a logic of a code so it will execute accordingly to your wish. There is never to late to learn something nor it to early. Best wishes for your learning a C.

It is good to start learn to code with C because after that it also helps to learn other languages like C++(superset of C) and Java which has similar syntax like C😉

I too started with C then C++ though they weren't my target but just to help me understand what was going on with my codes. If you want to be a programmer then learning C is never a mistake.

I don't know! There is so many people that say: when there is C++ why C!? Honestly, I Can't Undrestand Such justification !!!! Anyhow, C is the only language that is completely understandable for me!!! I think C can be something like a Trap!!! Because of it's Tiny, Simplicity and Nicely Features; it would be hard to switch into another Language!! That's just my Experience, of course

It depends on what you want to do with your programming knowledge. If your intention is to build a website, C will serve you no purpose. However, if you're interested in OSes, you might find C useful in helping you.

Yes is worth it... C has inspired tons of languages, because it has everything to learn about programming, learning C you will able to program in C++, and doing C++ you will able to learn any other language, every fundamental concept has been taken thanks to C, besides C is an ideal language to learn low programming, because of that you will understand how memory works and in programming... Memory is everything.

let me just give this in a simple term, i hope you get me right to know the children better it probably good to know were they are coming from and that is probably C right, but you can skip that since the use of C now adays are not a day to day basis, but i do C and i love to do it even if am not going to use for a concrete project for now, which am sure will come in handy someday

C is the gateway to learn how actually a computer works. Most of the modern day programming languages are inspired form it. Learning this language is worth it, anyday!

No. There is no reason to really learn C at this point. It's a language that's getting phased out. Other languages such as F#, C# and C++, Java, and others are still available and about.

C is one of the most oldest and the language that is used make everything. Python is made with C. Google applications is made with the superset of C (C++). Adobe systems are made with it. The popular Unity game engine is made with C++. Most popular games are made with it. And most of the OS kernels are made with C. Like Linux and more! Most of the security apps, company and antiviruses are made with C! Even powerful and harmful viruses. Just look at the apps made with C and C++! Starting with C maybe a hard choice. But a SPECTACULAR choice!

C is good if you are interested in electronics, such as micro controllers (Arduino), but it also teaches you the basics of how a computer processes data and how it computes, and C is a very strong base as it will help out in learning other languages.

I personally would go first for C++ instead of C because you'll learn OOP with C++. Plus, if you learn C++ you basically already know C.
