geany is best for almost every language as it has good Syntex highlight , good plugins and auto complete features . try it .

I use bpython3 for interpret and geany ide to write script ...and never dissatisfied me

but it works well only in Linux . for windows notepad++ for basic . Don't forget to install python3 first
