did you mean whats the difference between a compiled language, and a scripting language? well a compiled lang has to be compiled first before it can be executed which takes longer than a scripting language which can be executed immmediately without compilation.

I don't see difference, they are all are programming languages: JavaScript is programming language, actually I don't know why people are using the term "scripting" after all!
