Best Laptop for Professional Software Development

Hi guys, What is the best type of laptop to invest in? I've been teaching myself how to write software. I am aiming to become a professional software developer. Aside from practicing, I'm looking to upgrade to better equipment. I'd like to have one that I can work on a variety of types of apps (web, mobile, desktop, etc). What would you recommend? A gaming laptop? a premium one? Mac or PC? Something not mentioned here? Thank you very much.

I too wonder what laptop a "professional software developer" would use. Most software developers I've come in contact with do not seem to bother with overkill specifications, it often depends on the requirements of the type of development they plan on doing. For usual development you won't need the best hardware, 8GB with an i3 will be enough (though it might be nice to have a bit more). But for game development or other CPU or GPU heavy operations you should rather pick some decent gaming hardware

with my practice after some project, i think a gaming laptop is a better equipment, or pc with at least 16 GB of RAM and CPU i7 up to 3 GHz...
