asset catalogs & camera roll
Just a general question about the uses of the Iphone camera roll under asset catalogs. Do you have full functionality over the iphones camera roll? Eg, could an app extract assets from the camera roll to create a new catalog to be used? Suppose a more detailed question would cover... if a user extracted/selected all family related images, adding them to a family assets category. Friends to another social circle and others as needed say Pets just to expand that. Can each social category be extracted and stored then added to as a dynamic catalog modifying each category as the user likes. The ability to add newly created assets also would need to be available. Then that would bring me to manipulation surely these assets can be queried, sql style show me all assets of a certain category by certain orders say tagged date info the user can add to each asset. Have never exposed myself to xcode swifts full IDE so these are just thoughts regarding what i could do with it, the coding when i do immerse myself into it holds no fear for me with a background that exposed me to Asm Delphi and the Cobol Pascal areas etc. Part me thinks an OOP approach inside Xcode could knock variants of this framework up pretty easy and fast under rapid application development approach. Suppose my last question would be all the above be accessible via Apples ReaserchKit and CareKit frameworks? Do they allow catalog asset manipulations? Never enough hours in the days when you decide new areas may interest you but lifes got its own plans at times so jumping into xcode and swift is just hindered at the moment. No real coding feedback required just general info from anyone clued up enough to provide it. Thanks :)
