Is it just me?
I just started with these courses and i do have a tendency to get ahead of myself and analyze everything way too much. But how in the world can anyone learn all of this stuff and go make an app. I mean the two lessons i have done i can answer the questions but i feel there is no way to memorize all of this so i can one day make an app. Am i alone in feeling like this? Will this take years to be able to learn and make apps? I am a beginner so i hope it’s just that i feel that way because i am a beginner.

Coding is a business that involves learning, depending on the language it is hard or easy or maybe in the middle, the key is to persevere and keep plowing through the lessons, if you need to, go back to a spot you dont understand fully and keep doing it until you feel you understand it! Java is a bit of a finicky language, i tried java first, but when i realized how easy python was, i changed to that.
the key? NEVER GIVE UP

Hello, Welcome to this awesome community.
Don't lose hope, every pro was once a beginner. Keep learning day by day. Practice a lot. Do some small project, it is very very important. When you are learning any topic, do some research on it. Google it, search it on YouTube. It may cause some extra time but it will give you solid knowledge on the specific topic. Anyway, Ask for help here anytime, sololearners are ready to help you.

Thanks for answers Marje and Shovon. I hope after learning a little more, I hope that I will know how to even begin a project. When I started this I thought it may be simple but I laugh when I go through answering questions on the quizes and then forget a lot of what I learned so I panic because I can’t remember what I have learned. Hopefully something will sink in even if I have to do them several times. I really really would like to learn how to make apps so I hope this will work out for me.

don’t worry about forgetting some things you learned in the courses. The only way to memorise is by practising. Just start creating, and if you have questions or don’t know how to solve a problem, you can always use google.
One site that’s really good as a reference, is www.w3schools.com

I am new here too , don't loose hope , if you really like coding you will eventually get better at it . Many people are here to ask questions and get help too . So many things to improve yourself . for example stack overflow is a great place to clear doubts on questions . I know a course it's but free tho still can complete the python 3 course in the 7 trial days if you have enough accounts :p www.codecademy.com . Just keep calm and keep coding ;) you will get better

It's practice more than memorisation that matters, in my opinion.

It'll take a weeks if not months before you get an actual app working. There is no instant gratification, some tougher languages take years to understand. Also note that just because you can reproduce or follow tutorials, it doesn't mean you "understand" the language. You learn the most when you do it the hard way, find brain teasers and questions that stimulate how you'd think in a programing language. One example is
www.codingbat.com but I'm sure there's many more

Well I just figured out I can cheat. I had no idea. Well I only cheated on a few questions at the end of Java but I wouldn’t have made it through otherwise. So the stress is gone as far as the quiz goes but I am determined to do this one day. I wont give up yet. Thanks to all of you encouraged me!
