Learning Eclipse

A completely newbie has to learn and use Eclipse. What online resources or book would you suggest?

I like, and use, IntelliJ IDEA also, but there's a necessity tied to Eclipse :)

Eclipse isn't that difficult to use. Just a bit intimidating to setup and get it running. I suggest you to browse YouTube for some videos. I found this kind of helpful, https://youtu.be/mMu-JlBrYXo Also. There is another IDE, know as BlueJ, an intuitive and simple, but powerful one. I suggest you try that too.

Eclipse is really cool, I agree but now all mine does is crash. I have a Sony Vaio laptop running Win 8.1 and limited HD space (I am looking for a better laptop). I have been going back and forth between Java IDE's and can't seem to be able to keep one up and stable long enough to code anything in it! Anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to stabilize my Eclipse or if there is a better IDE? I have IntelliJ back up again but it wants me to edit my configuration before it will let me code anything so I have to figure out how to do that. Then there's blueJ, I am using that as well. I also use replit.com because it is online and does not require any setup.
