I don't know c++,java anything; will shine in the software field?

Being a mechanical engineer, I was told that I have nothing to do with software, when I see my computer science friends, I feel they are very intelligent cause they know software, coding, etc......... who am I to stand with them? I am unworthy! But now I have just started with python please direct me to change my mentality. Thank you.

I don't think anyone can tell you whether you'll shine in this field or not, but I'd bet that if you set reasonable goals ahead of you and give yourself reasonable time to achieve them - you can get everything you dream of 😃 Good luck and don't get discouraged, just one step at a time 🙂

Most of us started off having nothing to do with software anyway, so what is the big deal here? SoloLearn is optimised for beginners with no prior knowledge at programming. You managed to make it work and become a mechanical engineer. Designing hardware takes as much, if not more patience and skill, than designing software. What is there to deny you the feasibility of becoming a programmer, given an equivalent amount of time and hard work? https://www.sololearn.com/faq You may refer to this FAQ for any questions, and post your doubts in Q&A if you meet problems that you can't solve by yourself.
