Can anybody tell me what is the next step for web development after have learned HTML, CSS and JS

Server side things like php, sql, perl.

After you feel 100% percent confident those languages I'd recommend learn a framework (SASS, LESS, etc. for CSS, Angular, ReactJS, VueJS, etc. for JavaScript) to make your life easier. Or you could try to move on to back-end web development with something like PHP, NodeJS or Ruby on Rails, on top of those there's database languages like MySQL and MondoDB.
