I learned C++ many years ago, and found that it's easier to learn other languages thereafter. This is because of Object Oriented Programming, and a higher level or should one stay stricter making me code more attentively.

i m about the same age as you. i have learnt c++ first. it seems difficult at first but a little practice will make it simple. also you can learn other languages easily after that.dont just look at ease of learning. get a strong base for all programming from c++.

Study Python first. It's very easy to learn, the syntax is simple, and it's very powerful. After you've gained some programming experience, learn C++. It's harder than Python, but it's better for writing full-size applications.
