Why does PHP unable to fetch table data from my databases

Question

I have a website and I am trying to fetch table data from my database to HTML. There is one problem, though.

It doesn’t display.
I try to get code from others and put it to my PHP files, but it still doesn’t work.

Please help.

Server information: My server is MariaDB and I use the mysqli connection. it is able to connect
