Python and agriculture/food science

I just started with python thanks to this app. Before coding was sci-fi to me. But this app reminds me to duolingo. I am master of agricultire /food sciences so is it worth to spend my time learning python? I know it is, but do someone know if companies would someday appreciate it, and what is generally connection between natural science and python(pls have in mind that i am totally beginner). And if can someone better explain, what is data science? All the best.

Every field in the future will increasingly rely on data, data science, statistics, automation, and general computing involving programming. There will hardly be any field where programming and computers will not not be involved. Python is a good language for agriculture and the natural sciences. Take the plunge now. You will thank yourself later for acting early.
