Python is often used for scripting, scientific computing, and artificial intelligence whereas JavaScript is rather used to add interactivity to webpages and to create various applications.

Key difference. Python is strongly typed – no implicit conversion between types whereas JavaScript is weakly typed. The synchronous and blocking code is standard in JavaScript whereas python as de-facto as default. JavaScript can be used to run on frontend whereas python is on server side programming or backend. Python has procedural programming whereas Java-Script does not have. Java-Script has; as statement terminator whereas python has a newline. Python is a better-designed language which makes it easy to maintain whereas JavaScript is poor. Python is not good for mobile development whereas Java-Script is good. Python is slow to run comparatively to JavaScript. Python provides huge standard library whereas JavaScript has a limited standard library. Python heavily relies on assignment with no difference between variable and assignment whereas JavaScript doesn’t relay. Python has many libraries for scientific computing, data analytics, and machine learning whereas JavaScript does not.

no python is not similar to java script. JavaScript runs on both browser and server whereas python is mostly used for server-side programming. Python object-based is nearly equal to JavaScript and python supports programming style which uses simple functions and variables. JavaScript is most complex modern programming language comparatively to python. for more http://pythonandmltrainingcourses.com/best-summer-training-in-noida

rajshivakoti the question is "Is Python similar to JavaScript?" not "Is Python similar to Java?" JavaScript and Java is different, lol.

Not really, but they do share some properties: - Don't require semicolons at the end - Case sensitive - Scripting languages - Have Tensorflow libraries - Can be run on a console or on a cloud

many of answer make javascript look bad, because the peoples that answered just learn python Maninder $ingh i disaggre with some of your statement (which was copied from www.educba.com) - Javascript also can be asynchronous - Javascript can run in backend with node.js for the answer of the main question, check this one: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1786522/how-different-are-the-semantics-between-python-and-javascript

To add to what Yoshideveloper wrote, python may also be easier to learn. Python can be more aptly compared to Java as far as what it is used for. This page can give you more detail for javascript vs python: https://www.educba.com/python-vs-javascript/

Both Python and JavaScript are dynamically typed programming languages ,they both scripting language their syntax is more or less similar but JavaScript is used to create web-based application but Python is preferred for machine learning ,but I assure if you were a Python developer you can master JavaScript very easily

Yes in the sense that they are both interpreted programming languages.

I believe that Javascript is looking to handle more things besides just web projects, in search of contact in hardware, Python does not need so many platforms .. Python is easy ;)

No not at all ! Python is very well designed from scratch, with a well thought idea and a coherent implementation. JavaScript, on the other hand, was created and implemented on a rush, with many inconsistencies and early design decisions that made it a pain in the ass to work with for many years. Its syntax is more English-like an easier in the eye. It's multiparadigm and lets you start with a procedural approach while learning, little by little, other approaches such as OOP and functional, for which it's very well suited. JavaScript instead is a functional language disguised of C. It takes some time to wrap your head around callbacks. And finally, it's a matter of convenience: Python is a general purpose programming language, while JavaScript is just a client-side web language. http://www.cetpainfotech.com/technology/data-science-training

Python is a Object Oriented Scripting Language.Javascript uses for web design and development.Python uses for Scientific Computing,Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence,Serverside also..... Python and Javascript both are very easy to learn and those are useful too.
