I think Python or Ruby are great and easy languages to begin with. They have simple syntx and you can just open your editor and start doing something. But if you want to learn something more fast, but not so easy then Look at Java, C# or C++ I started learning from C# by youtube's videos about Unity and now it is my main language. I think it depends on what you want to do and what are better for you. Because for me c# was easiest language xD If you want to study how to write clear code, manage memory etc then choose C++ It will teach you basics of programming, designe and memory management :~) But it will be hard

so you should start with c++ first because you have subject in 2nd sem called SPA if you r in mumbai university which is based on c language so it will help you to understand the logic only syntax will be different but logic will remain same

python - because it's easy and therefore it will give you confidence . Or C ++ because once you become good at it you will find it very useful in learning other languages like C or Java .If you go especially by Indian colleges.
