When you type your code in python IDLE you don't require '>>>' It is automatically generated when you enter on a new line. Hope it helped you

When you are typing in Python Shell IDLE it is there for you when you press enter. However, a code does not require >>>.

if you are working with C++. yes you have to use this >>>. python dosen't require it.
