A few resources:
-Machine learning for absolute beginners 2nd edition[Oliver theobald]
-Machine Learning for dummies[John paul mueller]

The first book explains all you need to know to start about ML,It's short and readable to anybody.It doesn't have code it just explain ML concepts,easily.

The Second book teaches you how to create amazing ML programs and projects using Python. It's a fun read.

There's plenty more books on ML online. You can get the two above at [allitebooks.org], plus lots more.
