How old were you when you started coding?
I did a bit at school (which is slowly coming back to me) but i must admit it bored me senseless at the time. I'm now about to turn 30 and decided it's something i would love to learn after seeing a friends code he wrote to control his.... 'horticultural project' but i worry sometimes i have left it too late. How old were you when you started, and what got you into it?

I started in 2016(18 years), before I wanted to be an architect XD. When I finished highschool level I decided to change for programming and computer engineering, and I love it 😁

I started programming with when I was 14. Actually with 13, I wanted to make minecraft plugins and make small games. In the beginning, I learned the basics of java. For my fourteenth birthday I got a book for java programming. I learned Java for I think almost 8 months or more. I was nerved that I can see the program only in the console in java, so I began to learn html, css and js. Now I'm learning C ++. I am writing c.a 2 sites, some Java and some C ++ programs per month. The programming is fun to me and I also visit a technical upper school. In my country, you can only learn the programming from 16/17 at school, but it is not bad to have pre-knowledge.
Sorry 4 m bad english. 😂😂

I started programming at age 8 by teaching myself BASIC on a TRS-80 model 1. I then switched to Atari BASIC at 11. Through high school I worked in Assembly Language on the Atari (6502), while picking up Applesoft BASIC (Apple ][e) and GW BASIC (IBM PC). In my senior year of high school I took AP Computer Science, which at that time taught Pascal, while learning C on my own. After that I picked up Borland's Turbo Basic for a couple of special projects at my work. Eventually in my mid-late 20s I finally went into software development professionally, first under DOS, then Unix, until I got laid off in 2001 just after 9/11. Since then (and I'm 46 now) I've mostly dabbled with Python.
