How long will it take to be an expert in Java when I have 0 programming knowledge?
Just started learning Java here some days ago and I'm wondering can I also become an expert in Java from Sololearn alone?

Just to give you an idea from my own experience:
I started with Java 9 months ago by watching Freecodecamp's tutorial on YT for the full 9.5h. After that I immediatly used Java for Bukkit plugins and desktop JavaFx applications. (Starting from simple I/O to well designed working programs) Now, 9 months later, Im working on a mobile app as a holiday job.
As long as you MAKE enough projects, no matter the frustrations for unsolved errors and if you dont give up, you'll get enough experience to be able to cope with big projects in less than a year.
One of the biggest advantages is that java consists of both OOP and functional programming. That makes it easier to switch to other languages after that and have a wide variety of job opportunities.
My suggestion:
Learn the basics through tutorial videos, sololearns java lesson, books, ... Once you have a basic understanding, start working on actual projects. Push yourself to the limit. If you made a nice I/O program, dont remake it, but try something more difficul

Depends on how much time you have given for it. If you take it seriously and spent couple hours per day just in couple months you can be junior developer. For senior you may need couple years.

Though I don't learn java, I learn C++. But I myself is also a beginner at programing. Just a thought, at least 5 years, if you learn fast.
