Beginner Type Jobs? Python/JavaScript

What are some type of jobs that could be available to a beginner programmer in Python or JavaScript after building up a small portfolio? Are there certain types of companies who would want to recruit a future programmer and train them?

Companies would not "train", but some may offer internship or summer jobs if you can prove you have enough skills to do some coding for them, and show you can learn quickly with minimum supervision.
