In terms of input/output in C++, there are two common operators being used, the insertion and extraction operator. Both these operators are defined with I/O stream and derived streams.
â The insertion operator `<<` inserts something into the output stream object. For example we commonly use std::cout object to output something to the screen
`std::cout << some_variable;`
â The extraction operator `>>` extracts something from the input stream object. For example we commonly use std::cin to get input:
`std::cin >> some_variable;`
