Go through the entire course first, even if you don't fully understand it yet. When you're done, practice what you could understand. Afterward, go through the entire course again, but this time write down notes of any concept you still don't fully understand. When you're done, extensively research the concepts you wrote down on your notes, then practice them to solidify your learning of them. Keep repeating this process over and over until you no longer have to write down notes anymore. That's the best way that I've found to effectively learn any skill. Since you're not well versed in it yet, you won't just magically know it and programming is a little more complex than simple skills that one can learn. Think about it like this, did you immediately learn any language? Nope. You start with the basics, which are also confusing at first, you practice it a lot and you continually progress through learning more and more of it until you eventually master it. The same rules apply to most skills, but it is worth it in the long run. Best of luck! If you run into a problem and have a particular question, feel free to ask us and we'll be happy to explain it further to you.
