Actually when a language is updated new features with exciting functions are added into it. Similarly when html was there we were able to use <frameset> and <frame> tags but in html 5 we can use <iframe> instead of them as they are not supported in html5. Hence there are various new elements added in html 5 .
For eg : video , forms , APIs and many more are added in html5

In HTML5 some new features added like you can add audio, video in your website....

Which was not available in the html.
