jQuery | Is it Proper to Learn jQuery while you are just absolute beginner to JS (Javascript)???

When I look at some jQuery codes they look ugly (the code). It just looks like scratches and a bunch of dollar signs. I started JS, but I haven't moved sleeveless yet (still at level one). So I just clicked on jQuery and started looking learning from beginning. So I was wondering if that was proper or I should learn JS first. OPINIONS??! Facts???

Learn good in JavaScript first... jQuery is optional, many JavaScript developers do not learn jQuery, they choose to learn react or other frameworks. However you need a good foundation in JavaScript in order to learn well in other frameworks including jQuery. I write thousands of JavaScript codes on code playground, and i do not know jQuery.

Its better to learn a bit more of javascript. But you can start with jquerry pretty early. So keep going.

jquery is a library not a framework. either way..its best to know js first..as jquery is not manditory..and not always used. knowing js first will help you learn anything after that like jquery or react etc
