If you are talking about front end JavaScript, no other language can replace JavaScript, not python, php and asp, there are all backend languages that run from web server, to respond front end with html/css and JavaScript eventually.

And jQuery is not even a language, it's JavaScript library, that consists of functions that built from JavaScript codes.

I would prefer python, since it is quite user friendly, easier to understand and code. But everyone has their own preferences, so keep trying out new things, you might just stumble upon the language, one you love.
