Java and JavaScript?

Question

What is the difference they seem very similar but I’m not sure. Minecraft was programmed in one of them. I don’t which one though?

First of all, they are not that similar, because Java is forced OOP, and it's more strict, and Javascript is used to make achieve smaller things.
