What's with the delayed responsiveness of the touch event in this code?

Question

For a reason so obvious that I failed to see 🤓. The touch event of this code ain't awesome. I think it only responds after all the fragments of the bubbles are done instantiating. Who's got a better idea of the problem and how to solve it.
