Unity/C#:

Unreal/C++

My recommendation if you're getting into the field is to learn Unity 3D and C#, as well as Unreal Engine and C++. These are the two mainstream engine/languages used in the industry, so you'll be able to learn everything required in order to become a game developer. Both engines are very accommodating to indie developers as well, so you can use their engines to learn/create without having to pay anything until after you release successful games on them. As well, they're both widely used so they have a very vibrant community, learning resources, etc... Both of their websites has very extensive documentation, tutorials, training, etc... so you'll be able to easily get started.
They're not the ONLY options, but they're by far the better options and a great place to get started.
Best of luck!

I just noticed your tag. To add onto what Ace is saying, you can check this out:

^It elaborates on some of the game engines used with Python, if that's the route you're taking.

There are some modules, like ‚pygame‘ in python (as well as several others). These help you create a game.
Please note that SoloLearn does not teach about pygame as it is not part of the built-in (very basic) functions of python so you‘ll have to learn it elsewhere.
Hope this helps 😊

If you want to make games, then I would not recommend python for it. Sure you can make games with it but if that’s your main focus, then learn c++ or c# because there are some great game engines built on them(like unreal and unity which AgentSmith mentioned)and python is used more for data sciences rather than games.
