I would think of C, because couldn't you in theory be able to do anything using C, that you could be able to do with any modern programming language?

^Koder King^ I've seen this article before and can't say I would consider it credible, reliable, or even remotely consistent with my own anecdotal observations in the industry.
I have noticed more and more articles being released that lack any journalistic integrity or attempt at being objective and credible in the tech space.
To the general public, it's hard to know whether or not articles, like this, can be trusted.

Thanks for sharing Tibor Santa
I checked the link. It mentions python and java at the top. The list of languages is a bit unusual, misses many newer languages like kotlin, rust. Also, some info is incorrect, or valid for others too(e.g., multiple system/platform support).
Some points that stood out:
Particularly python being used for large scale apps-- 1st time I hear this.
The mention of copy and equals method not being present in JS. or how javascript is interpreted differently by browsers--it's not really an issue.
Running with php is simple-- i had a hard time with the setup when i had tried(quit). Unless, the author meant something else by that statement.

The one which let's you express your thoughts without limitation. In the end they all are very similar. Java<=>C#, C<=>C++, Ruby<=>python, and others.
On a related note: What was the article? Can someone share it? ^Koder King^ David Carroll
@Koder Even if the article was criticized by others. That doesn't mean you should delete your answer. Simply editing your post to mention it may not be factual would have been acceptable. By deleting your answer, the critical reply posted by others lost context.

For reference, the article mentioned:

(I do not endorse it)

You cannot really give an objective answer to such a question. If there were any single ultimately superior language, then why would we need the rest of them. Each one has pros and cons, and specific scenarios where they excel.
Such listings are always opinionated in the best case, or heavily biased and unprofessional in the worst case... The quoted article at guru99 does not even mention the author's name or their sources (e.g. the estimated salaries..) so I agree with David Carroll it must always be taken with a grain of salt.

^Koder King^ I did not expect R in 3rd place. What kind of programming language is SQL trying to be?
