Is it Necessary to write an algorithm for a web design

I sense some people probably already bookmarked this question but hesitated and rather hold back their answers for a reason only they know : )

Before I move on, I'd like to apologize if my answer wasn't satisfactory, though this shouldn't have happened if anyone more knowledgeable just dropped their answer in.

Algorithm, as I understand it, is a detailed description of steps needed to be taken to achieve or reach a goal. Though, as much as I try to think it, I still can't relate a moment when an algorithm is necessary for designing a website. I think creativity is more necessary when it comes to design (Mentioned in question title).

Wonder if you actually ask whether it is necessary to plan which part of the website the team should prioritize before/during the development phase? If this is what you mean then I strongly recommend to edit your question, to at least add more clarity and relevance.

P.S. Also please refrain from writing a sentence on the Relevant Tags section, that's not it's purpose : )

No, unless you are programming and working with numbers you don't need to write an algorithm.
