Which tool do you use for documentation of your products? Why?
Office, any pdf generator, confluence, etc.

JavaDoc, as I could create docs during my coding. For writing documentation in more detail I am also using confluence. However I've had no issues like your copy and paste ones. I just copy pics or diagrams from older documentation, also confluence, to newer docs.

seems like nobody makes documentations :)
We've been using confluence for years.

we are evaluating confluence.
One problem is when you copy paste content from another document, it includes some "span" elements, which may result in bad formatted document while exporting to pdf.

Jani,
Any useful macro suggestions for confluence?

I never copy paste anything but text there if I have to so haven't had any issues. Only macro I've used is the code block macro if there is like post data example in json or soap.
I'm no heavy user, mostly reader.
