Is python that popular as they say?

Question

I thought python was the most popular best do it all language... But in this sololearn app I see its the least "learnt" contributed to language. Am a newbie and my research on best language to start with led me to python, but am beginning to think it's not as I thought, even things like Android studio doesn't use it...

My interest is simple software development, robotic programming and app development. Is python best for this!?

You can Google the popularity of programming languages. Python is pretty high up.
