Is 12 too young to start programming passionately?

That's it.

I know kids that have started very young. Today's technology makes learning this material fun and easy. The company Kano makes fun little projects for not only younger generations but for anyone willing to learn programming. There are also fun languages like Scratch that are great as well. Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life. Good luck!

It’s not too early if you have the desire, then do it, by the time you become a young man you will have a lot of knowledge and good experience. Look for yourself in this life and the sooner you find your calling the better.

Anything that requires a lot of training, be it ballet, tennis, playing the violin etc. share one thing: The earlier you start, the better. When I was around your age, I wanted to program too, but it was harder back then, because there was no internet, teachers were not available to me, I had a few books but they were hard to read... Now, with the internet and apps like these - which means support of other people at any time - you can definitely do it. So if you like this, and you want to do this - then go for it.

Starting programming in young age is rather just an advantage. Programming experience is often measured in years.
