How to practice theory?

I spend a lot of time studying theory.But as soon as I start trying to write a program, I cannot translate my knowledge into lines of code. What can I do about it? Sorry for my English

Dude, one thing that I learn in the college and help me a lot in my programming skills was to start writing easy programs for sites that have a judge who evaluates your programs.

You have no better learning than to always be practicing. Do not skip steps, always start from the beginning.

O aprendizado chega mais rápido quando você está sempre praticando. E não pule etapas, comece sempre do início.
